Online Dialogue, "Teaching the Arts of Democracy"

Jossey-Bass Publishers have initiated an online dialogue, "Preparing
Citizens: Teaching the Arts of Democracy," moderated by Nancy
Thomas, Director of the Society for Values in Higher Education Models
for Democracy Project, and Richard Guarasci, Provost at Wagner College
and author of Democratic Education in an Age of Difference
(2000). The University of Hartford is a member of the pilot
first-phase of the Models for Democracy project. The purpose of
the dialogue is to explore the theoretical and practical sides of
what it means to educate for democracy and responsible citizenship
at the college level. Faculty, students, administrators, and others
are invited to participate by logging on at http://www.josseybass.com/josseybass/jb_abc_user_front_page.
