Associated New American
Colleges The Associated New American Colleges (ANAC) invite participants from across higher education to join in the urgent quest to renew the compact between faculty and the institution where they work. With support from The Pew Charitable Trusts, ANAC is completing a three-year project of assessing faculty perceptions and rethinking faculty-institutional relationships, as a basis for new models that will better serve students and institutional missions, while enhancing faculty professional development and satisfaction. ANAC will present its project results as part of an Institute program that will also include findings and discussion of other studies and experiments with faculty work nationally and internationally. Public and private research universities and liberal arts colleges, as well as masters institutions, will be represented on the Institute program. The program will feature keynote speakers and resource persons involved with a spectrum of faculty work issues, e.g., workload differentiation, individual and unit evaluation and rewards, faculty governance and institutional service, career planning and professional development, and definitions and assessments of scholarly work. See the ANAC monthly Bulletin posted on the ANAC website (http://www.anac.org) for additional information (e.g., names of speakers, resource persons, and program updates). To Register - complete and
