SVHE
New Teacher Workshop at Colorado College, July 30-August 3, Provides
ANAC Member Opportunity for New Faculty Professional Development

The Society for Values in Higher Education once again invites
ANAC member institutions to support the travel expenses of new faculty
to participate in SVHE's "Summer Workshop for New College Teachers,"
an intense five-day experience designed to assist new Ph.D's to
cross the boundaries from graduate school to the college teaching
profession. SVHE will support registration and room and board fees
from its operating budget. The workshop provides mentoring, simulated
teaching experiences, and an orientation to institutional citizenship
taught by an instructional staff of faculty and deans experienced
in comprehensive institutions. Following the workshop, participants
are guests of the Society annual meeting, five days of humanities
and higher education seminars and interaction with faculty and administrators
from all types of institutions. For further information, contact
Sherry Stock, SVHE Administrator, at 503-721-6520 or svhe@unidial.com.
